GLOSSDRESS

GLOSSDRESS is a multidisciplinary art and photography service founded by Scarlett Sensi that focuses on transformation, gender performance, and the psychological ritual of feminization. Through portraiture, film, interviews, zines, and collaborative studio experiences, GLOSSDRESS creates space for AMAB people to explore their feminine identity in an affirming environment. Operating from the Temple of Feminization in Pawtucket, RI, GLOSSDRESS centers artistry, consent, and collaboration while supporting trans, sex worker, and local artist communities through creative partnerships and predictable pay. GLOSSDRESS is comprised of four arms: Studio Services, Media & Production, Editions & Apparel, and Community & Collaboration.

Studio Services are provided on-site at our studio, called the Temple of Feminization, which is styled in a way that feels cozy and feminine. This is where we host our clients, beauticians, photographers, and sometimes models, to create head-to-toe makeovers and photoshoots. We offer discounts to clients who give express permission for us to use their content online to promote the brand, inspiring other crossdressers to step out of their comfort zone.

Our Media & Production arm documents and distributes photography, video, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content under the GLOSSDRESS name. Its purpose is to expand the GLOSSDRESS philosophy beyond the physical studio by documenting conversations around transformation, gender performance, ritual, and creative identity, while maintaining a strict consent-forward framework that prioritizes client privacy and agency.

Our Editions & Apparel arm produces zines, prints, merchandise, and limited-edition art objects that serve as accessible entry points into the GLOSSDRESS aesthetic and mission.

Our Community & Collaboration arm connects GLOSSDRESS with open-minded makeup artists, photographers, Dommes, models, and arts institutions, redistributing resources and visibility to marginalized creatives through makeover & photoshoot gigs, events, art shows, and collaborative productions.

At its core, GLOSSDRESS exists to liberate shame. Many MTF crossdressers live closeted lives, struggling to explore their feminine identity safely or authentically. We provide a professional, judgment-free space for them to develop their feminine side while producing work that builds community, challenges toxic masculinity, and affirms that radical femininity is worthy of serious artistic attention.

Feminization & Sissification @ GLOSS Rhode Island

Scarlett Sensi

Scarlett Sensi (she/her) is a MTF CD (male-to-female crossdresser), photographer, Dominatrix, fetish model, zine maker, and skateboarder, who spends most of her time living and presenting as a man. She’s active in local kink communities and identifies as a switch, usually presenting en femme when either dominating or submitting. Scarlett specializes in dominating sissies (submissive crossdressers) because she is one herself. She understands how sissies want to look, feel, and act, while pushing them to the edge of their boundaries. No matter what brought you to the Temple, Scarlett wants you to feel the way she feels herself: proud, beautiful, and accepted within her femininity.

Clients

Our primary clients are AMAB individuals, mostly closeted crossdressers, who are looking for a safe, affirming space to explore their preferred flavor of feminization. Many of them have never been professionally styled or photographed in a feminine context before. They range from first-timers taking a private leap to repeat clients who return as part of an ongoing journey toward self-acceptance. I’m proud to say that our in-person services have functioned as a catalyst for several clients to come to the realization that they are women, not crossdressers like they had previously believed. Some clients even fly to Rhode Island just to visit our studio!

Photoshoots

Photoshoots are usually one-on-one with client and photographer, but some include co-models. Poses range from vanilla to kinky, with the most popular theme being Scarlett’s unique flavor of forced feminization, incorporating bondage, dominance, resistance, and submission during the makeover. Most clients want full rights to their photoset. We offer discounts to clients who are willing to be featured online or in our zine.

Beauticians

Beauticians range from hobbyists to career makeup artists. We prioritize trans, queer, and drag MUAs, especially enthusiastic about feminization and local to PVD. Beauticians can also be models or photographers.

Models

Models range from amateurs to professionals. We host SW’s, Dommes, drag performers, and other crossdressers to co-model with clients and/or Scarlett. We offer content trades and paid shoots.

Photographers

Photographers can range from student to professional. We prioritize queer photographers, especially femme-presenting, because that’s who most clients are comfortable shooting with.

Our Story

Scarlett created the first iteration of GLOSSDRESS in Hong Kong in 2019, called Gloss HK. She was living and working in Asia at the time and realized that it would be easier to start a business there than to tell her friends and family about crossdressing. Scarlett wanted to get better at dressing up and fully embodying her previously suppressed feminine spirit but found it difficult to find consistent female friends to help guide her. She visited a few Dommes and alternative beauty studios but wanted something more complete: salon-quality makeup and a kinky photoshoot in a discrete, open-minded location. She wanted to create and document scenes of forced feminization, her favorite kink.

The Temple of Feminization was born in Yung Shue Wan, Lamma Island. Scarlett turned an unassuming apartment into a private beauty studio and hired open-minded freelance makeup artists and one Dominatrix as the staff. These beauticians were in charge of taking photos using clients' phones and loved working with such grateful clientele. The chemistry was amazing and steadily growing until the CCP clamped down on HK's government, cracking down on political protests, and thus halting tourists. The bulk of Gloss HK's clientele were traveling businessmen.

As Scarlett grew roots in Hong Kong's BDSM scene, she became more proud of her "deepest darkest" secrets. She was denied entry at the HK border during January 2020, forcing her to hire two friends to box up the studio and a third party logistics firm to send everything to USA. Scarlett reached out to all resources she had in HK, looking for a location to continue makeovers and photoshoots. The Eaton HK, a local open-minded hotel & cultural hub, was happy to provide a location! Scarlett worked out a deal with them and sent a suitcase full of different sizes of french maid uniforms, wigs, shoes, and accessories for beauticians to use on clients.

Everything worked out until Covid halted makeovers in HK, causing Scarlett to stay in USA, eventually leading her to the realization that Gloss would do much better in her home country than anywhere else. She knew she had to tell her friends and family about the "importing business" she started in HK. Surprisingly, everyone took it well! Scarlett learned that it's not what you tell someone, it's how you tell someone.

Scarlett scouted the east coast of USA, looking for the perfect location for the new iteration of Gloss, GLOSSDRESS. Providence, RI made perfect sense because of the artistic culture, massive LGBTQ+ scene, and a general open-mindedness more pronounced than other states.
